In 2008, we set up a YouTube account to post tips for blender and sony vegas. We then started to get hundreds and hundreds of people commenting and e-mailing us, then we reached 1,000 youtube subscribers and more recently over 100,000 total views. We started to post weekly tutorials, however we began to lack time and creativity meaning we were letting our viewers down. Instead of keeping people on hold we have decided to end Everything FX. We'd like to thank everyone who helped us help others with Visual FX these past couple of years: David Wood, Kai Indvik, Andrew Kramer, Topher Welsh, NahuelVFX and ALL the subscribers and viewers.
Being just 2 of us its too hard right now in our lives to find time to sit down and make something original and useful for people every single week. Infact we've managed to continue with visual effects and motion graphics in our own ways and have started freelancing and working on a new web project.
We're proud of quite an impact we made on YouTube, and becoming one of the most viewed smaller websites under the Video Copilot scale companies. The Twitter and of course YouTube channel will continue to exist for people to keep learning from.
We'll leave you with our first and most popular tutorial, with over 12,000 views at this current date. It proves what a couple of 15 year olds managed to do on the internet...teach others :)
